Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced fully funded PhD scholarships for selected students under its Autumn 2026 admissions, offering a monthly stipend of Rs. 80,000.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking the fully funded scholarship must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or equivalent grades in their MS or MPhil degree.
Applicants must also submit a strong research proposal relevant to the research areas of their chosen department.
Candidates with previous research experience or academic publications will be preferred. However, research publications are not mandatory.
The maximum age limit is 35 years on the closing date of admission.
Residential Scholarship Requirement
AIOU has clarified that the scholarship is residential.
Selected PhD scholars will be required to remain physically present at the AIOU Main Campus during the stipend period.
